This is a short but well planned safari that is not too rushed and introduces you to the beasts of nature. It takes you to Kenya’s most popular game reserve renowned for the Wildebeest Migration. You will later proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park which is one of the world’s greatest ornithological site. And finally it takes you to the slopes of Mt Kenya across the equator to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary, the only park with a Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Kenya.
You will be met by our company representative on arrival at the airport or your Nairobi Hotel. He or she will introduce you to your guide/driver and brief you. After the briefing you will leave Nairobi at 0700hrs driving southwards to Masai Mara. You will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewing point for a short photo session. Drive further southwards arriving in Mara on time for lunch at the Ashnil Mara Camp. Relax after lunch after the long journey till 1600hrs. Leave the camp for an evening game drive till 1830hrs. Masai Mara is renowned for the spectacular great migration that takes place in July through October. Nevertheless, it is an all year round destination that never disappoints. You can spot all of the big five (Lion, leopard, rhino, elephant & cape buffalo) at any time of the year.

Have breakfast at 0630hrs and leave the camp at 0700hrs with packed picnic lunch. Enjoy a full day game drive in search of animals in this park. Among the animals you can look forward to seeing include the Masai Giraffe, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, Thompson’s gazelles, Grant’s gazelles, impalas, topis, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, hyenas, dik- dik, klipspringer, waterbuck, bushbuck, Coke’s heartbeest, black rhino, eland, baboons, fox, jackals as well as numerous bird species including ostrich, cormorants, grebes, storks, falcons, bastards among others. Have an early breakfast and check out and later enjoy your last game drive where you will further explore the game reserve at sunrise which is the best time to spot animals as you depart for the famous Lake Nakuru National Park at 09:30hrs. Our guide will drive you through the scenic Rift Valley escarpment arriving on time for lunch at the Flamingo Hill Camp. Proceed for a late afternoon game drive from 16:00hrs to 18:30 hours. This park is home to eye-catching flocks of the Greater and lesser flamingos which color the shores of the lake pink. The park has the highest concentration of birds with over 450 bird species recorded here which include pelicans, egrets, plovers and storks. It is also one of the few places that you will see the endangered black and white rhino as well as the Rothschild giraffe. Return to Flamingo Hill Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Rise up early for a morning game drive in this beautiful park. Return to the camp for breakfast at 0930hrs, check out and leave Lake Nakuru for Ol Pejeta conservancy situated on the slopes of Mt. Kenya and Aberdares Ranges. Arrive on time for lunch at the Serena Sweetwaters Camp and relax after lunch. Leave the camp at 1600hrs for a 2 hours and a half game drive where you will explore this private conservancy with a visit to the only chimpanzees sanctuary in Kenya. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. If you are interested in a night game drive it can be arranged for you.

Rise up at first light have a cup of coffee and leave the camp for a morning game drive. Situated between the foothills of the Aberdares Ranges and the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of wildlife, including all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion). Return to the camp for breakfast and later checkout and drive to Nairobi where you will be dropped at the airport or a Nairobi hotel.

This safari covers the top wildlife parks in Kenya: Masai Mara is a large game reserve famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, cheetahs and its annual migration of zebra & wildebeest which occurs from July to October. Lake Nakuru, found in Central Kenya has an elevation of 1754 meters above sea level and is known for the presence of the big five and bird’s sanctuary. Amboseli, on the other hand, is known for the large herds of elephants and its stunning view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Early in the morning, you will be picked up in Nairobi by the driver/guide and provide a briefing on your safari before we depart for Maasai Mara.
Great Rift Valley and lunch stop-over. Travel time to Mara will take around 5-6 hrs. Along the way, there will be a stop over at the Great Rift Valley where you can take photos of the sheer drop of the Rift Valley, as well as the nearby Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot. There will also be a stop-over at Narok Town for lunch where a simple buffet of traditional Kenyan foods await.
Upon arrival at Mara, you can settle in and rest before proceeding to an afternoon game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Day Game Drive
After breakfast, you will leave for a full day game drive in Maasai Mara National Park. This is home to over 3 million large mammals. Our experienced tour guide/ driver will take you in search for the famous Big 5 among other animals: Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino, Hyena, Cheetah, Jackal, Warthog, Giraffe, Zebra, Antelope wildebeest, and various bird species. Picnic lunch will be served at Mara River as you witness the famous migration.

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru with game drive en route. Picnic lunch will be served. You will arrive in Lake Nakuru early in the evening in time for dinner. Accommodation will be at Golden Palace Resort.
Lake Nakuru is a renowned paradise for Bird Watchers with its high population of birds, the most famous being the thousands of flamingos which form a very beautiful deep pink coloration around the edges of the lake shore. Apart from these flamingos, there are also over 400 species of birds visiting the lake. Animals can also be sighted in the park including the Rothschild’s Giraffe, Black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and several other species of plains game.

Early in the morning, we will once again embark on a game drive in Lake Nakuru and feast your eyes with sightings of flamingos, often referred to as the “Pink Lake”. If you’re lucky, you might also see small game such as Water Buck, Impala, Rhino and Buffalo within the garden’s surroundings.
After which, we shall return to the resort for breakfast before we depart for Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is the country’s international biosphere reserve with a huge ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya Tanzania border. The park has an endless supply of water filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mt. Kilimanjaro hence, Amboseli in Masai means “Place of Water”. Herds of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, leopards & elephants will make your imagination of African wild life come to life. Mt. Kilimanjaro forms the backdrop of this game sanctuary.

We will set off for another extensive game drive, and bask under the sun while taking in the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, from Wildebeest, Giraffes and Baboons among many others.
Visit to a Maasai Village*
An optional visit to a Masai village can also be arranged. Maasai´s warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. This visit gives a good tour of Maasai culture and you will be welcomed with a sing and dance presentation, which forms part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is one of the most memorable experience to take with you.

Depart very early for Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy your hot lunch at Nyahururu then proceed on with your journey. The park covers 180 sq km and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reed bucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago, and you may find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here.

Depart with picnic lunch boxes after your morning breakfast and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. The Reserve is administered by the local county council. It is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya. It offers breathtaking views (seen in the film ‘Out of Africa’, much of which was filmed here) an extraordinary density of animals including the “Big Five” and many varieties of plains game. After your pick up from the Nairobi airport or your hotel, we will transfer to the Mount Kenya national park. Upon arrival, we will take a 3-4 hour hike to the Naro Moru river lodge (3,040m). We will spend the night in tents.
Today we will hike for approximately 5 to 7 hours, with an altitude gain of approximately 1,300 metres, to the Mackiners camp, where we will spend the night in tents.
Today we will hike for approximately 2 to 3 hours, with an altitude gain of approximately 490 metres, to the Austrian hut, where we will spend the night in tents.
We will make our way to the summit of the Nelion tower today. We will take the South East Face standard route. The climb will take anywhere from 10 to 16 hours. At the summit, we will spend the night in the Howell’s bivvy hut.
Today we will climb through the Gates of Mist to the summit of Batian. The ascent should take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Afterwards, we will go to the Austrian hut where we will spend the night.
Today we will trek along the Sirimon route via the gorges valley to the Judimier/old Moses camp where we will spend the night.
On the final day of this trip we will eat breakfast and descend to the Sirimon gate and leave the Mount Kenya national park. Afterwards, we will drive back to Nairobi

The price includes private transfers to Mount Kenya from Nairobi and back, National park entry fees, accommodation, porters, camping fees, camping equipment, meals, and government taxes and levies. However, the price does not include hotel costs in Nairobi, visa fees and international flight costs.

Our driver guide reports to your hotel for Start of the safari, with a 8 – 8.30am departure for a scenic drive down into the Rift Valley, to Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier game reserve. You will be in your own private safari vehicle. Stop briefly enroute at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for stunning views of what is the world’s largest valley. Arrive at Masai Mara for lunch. The afternoon gamedrive at 3.30 pm allows spotting of the unrivalled wildlife in the park. Return to your camp by 6.30pm.

You enjoy two gamedrives today, one in the morning at 6.15am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch.
